Re-purpose leftover Christmas cards and holiday greeting cards you received or did not send to help reduce their impact on the environment and add some fun to your holiday season.

After the holiday season is over we all wonder what to do with all the cards we received. Don't just through them away. There are many simple and creative ways to reuse and re-purpose Christmas and holiday cards once the festivities are over.

The following are quick ways to reuse leftover and last years Christmas and Holiday greeting cards

  • Gift Tags. Cut them down the Christmas cards and Holiday greeting cards you received this year to show just the picture or use the whole front panel.
  • Thank You Postcards. Turn Christmas cards and Holiday greeting cards into thank you notes. Make sure the backside of the front panel hasn't been written on. If not, cut the back panel off and then cut the front panel down to 4 x 6 inches. Not only will you keep Christmas cards out of the landfill, you'll also save a few pennies on postage as well.
  • Bookmarks. Cut your favorite card's front into a long strip to mark your place.
  • Origami. Cut the front panels of an old Christmas cards into a square and make a paper crane.
